Dr. Fumiaki Yokoyama (co-investigator, Cell Revival Team) has established an independent research group, the Microbial Lifeform Dynamics Group, at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) as a Bunibushi Fellow. His group aims to experimentally elucidate the boundary between life and nonlife in bacterial cells by integrating cellular microbiology, microfluidic devices, and quantitative live-cell imaging.
